Providing a Path of Hope in hospitals
People are most vulnerable when they or a loved one are in the hospital for an illness, treatment, test, or surgery. Catholic chaplains and lay pastoral ministers at local hospitals offer prayers, the sacraments, companionship before surgery, and a listening presence to those in need.
Providing a Path of Hope for college students
College years are when thousands of students decide to try living without Christ and the Church. But the Catholic presence at local non-Catholic colleges - University of Cincinnati, Sinclair Community College, Miami University, Wittenberg University, and Wright State University - makes an enormous difference, thanks to your CMA support.
Providing a Path of Hope the incarcerated
Because of your CMA support, Catholic chaplains conduct RCIA classes … priests celebrate Mass and hear confessions … and small classes and other faith-based efforts take place at Lebanon Correctional, Warren Correctional, and Dayton Correctional. The Catholics in each prison regard themselves as a parish and observe the entire liturgical year.
