2018 Catholic Appeal

Regional Masses Celebrated in Thanksgiving for Successful Appeal

This year’s Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA) has exceeded its $5 million goal with $5,242,806 million pledged to the Appeal so far from over 26,624 households in the Archdiocese. The CMA is the annual archdiocesan effort to provide funding for six critical regional ministries:

• Seminary and Vocations
• Catholic Charities and Social Services
• Campus, Hospital, and Prison Ministries
• Retired Archdiocesan Priests
• St. Rita School for the Deaf
• New Evangelization Programming

To give thanks for the successful Appeal and the thousands of contributors, Archbishop Schnurr recently celebrated two regional Masses of Thanksgiving for the CMA. The Mass in Cincinnati took place at St. Boniface Church on Saturday, July 28 at the 4 p.m. Mass. The Mass in Dayton took place at St. Henry Church Sunday, July 29 at the 11 a.m. Mass. The Mass for the Northern part of the Archdiocese took place on August 5 during the 10am Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Motezuma, OH with Bishop Binzer.

A special thanks to Fr. Joseph Robinson, pastor at St. Boniface, Fr. Tom Shearer, pastor at St. Henry and Our Lady of Good Hope, as well as Fr. Alfons Minja, pastor at Our Lady of Guadalupe for hosting these CMA Masses this year.
